Betty Jane Montgomery (nee Fink), 93, born in Coleridge, NE on April 23, 1923 was called to be with the Lord on Friday, August 19, 2016 in O'Fallon, MO. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley Montgomery (who went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2006). Betty is survived by her daughters, Karen Glazebrook, Cheryl (Rich) Barta, Bonita Montgomery, and Melinda (Bobby) Bullock; four grandchildren, Beth (Ed) Courtney, Maggie Barta, Michelle Glazebrook, and Jason (Carrie) Hibbard; three great grandchildren, Danielle (Kevin) Matthews, Alyssa Miller, and Evan Miller; and three great great grandchildren, Harper, Kennedy, and McKenna Matthews.

Betty loved her family and her Lord and Savior. She was of strong Baptist faith and was active in a bible study fellowship where she taught women about the Word of the Lord. Betty was a strong-willed woman who loved her flower garden and had a great sense of humor. She was the family historian and instilled a great sense of work ethic in her children and grandchildren. Betty was a "force to be reckoned with" and she will be missed.

Services will be private but expressions of condolence may be offered at www.alexanderstlouis.com. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and the staff at Mt. Carmel of O'Fallon for the loving care provided to Betty and her family. Betty will be laid to rest with beside her husband at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
