Edwin was very wise and resourceful and became a very accomplished man. He went into the Air Force Reserves, while also attending college on the Gl bill, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Edwin was recalled back into the Air Force in the Korean War and served as a crew chief on the F84 jets. After discharge he returned to St. Louis, Missouri and was employed by McDonnel Douglas Aircraft Corporation. He worked in various departments as an Engineer until retirement in 1987. He was married to Marilyn Rita Schueler for 57 years, until her passing in 2011.

Edwin loved casinos and enjoyed several trips to Vegas with his wife. He was a man who always put other people first and did whatever he could to make sure people were cared for. He was an avid follower of the stock market and very savvy with anything regarding finances. His kind heart and compassion will be missed.
